Lockdown 2020- A Blessing
Special WOW Series conducted a Speech Contest- Lockdown2020- A Blessing. Lot of students participated below 18 years from Delhi/NCR, Dehradun and Himachal. The children from St Josephs Dehradun, Heritage School Delhi, Srijan, Tonbridge School, Isaac Newton, Agrasain Boys School, Our Lady of the Snow registered for the Speech Contest conducted on 11th April , 2020 at 3: 30 pm. The Contest was conducted on Zoom App successfully and well monitored by Shubham from Delhi and Arun from Muzaffarnagar. Ms Surabhi from Dehradun and Prachi from Delhi were the judges for the Contest. Ms Surabhi has got a rich experience of 28 years in Finance, Project Management, Company Secretarial work, Editorial and Academics. She has authored few books and numerous research papers. Ms Prachi is a Chartered Accountant by profession with Deloitte as Consultant. She loves to write and share her thoughts as leisure pursuit. The winners of the Contest were – Vedaant from Srijan School Delhi, Diya from Our Lady of the Snow, Himachal and Aashim Kaur from St Josephs Dehradun.
The winners got Rs 300 each as the Cash Prize. The objective of the Contest was to enhance the confidence level and communication skills of the youngsters. The other reason as stated by Ms Richa – Soft Skills Trainer – Founder of Special WOW Series , was to spread positivity amongst the children. As there is so much of negativity these days which is not good for the children. We must engage them and make sure that they are focused and working in the right direction.
Ms Richa thanked the judges and everyone for giving their valuable time on a Saturday and the efforts put in by the parents in preparation of the speeches.
